What shifts are you available to work?
Beside this, what are the different shifts for work?
Types of work shifts
- First shift. Employees who work the first shift, or day shift, work during the day and have evenings and nights off.
- Second shift. Also called swing or afternoon shift, second shift may overlap with both first and third shifts.
- Third shift.
- Fixed shift.
- Rotating shift.
- Split shift.
- On-call shift.
- Weekday or weekend shift.
Secondly, are you willing to work in different shifts? As long as I would know at the start of a placement what the hours would be, I would be willing to work any shift. I would prefer to keep one shift throughout each placement. I wouldn't prefer to work at night and weekends but during peak workloads, I am ready and available to work whenever you need me.
In this way, what are 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts?
1st shift usually takes place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. 2nd shift is worked between 5 p.m. and 1 a.m. 3rd shift typically takes place between the hours of 12 a.m. and 8 a.m.
How many hours of the week are you available to work?
In a full-time job, you can expect to work between 35 and 40 hours (or more) a week, on average.
